Farm to School – Now in Front of the Wisconsin State Legislature!
Farm to School programs are a win-win for farmers and students, and several schools in Wisconsin are making a huge impact on their kids’ eating habits and their local economy. But schools across the state face the same problem: dwindling resources and no central place to go to for information on how to start a Farm to School program. For that reason, Representative Amy Sue Vruwink (D-Milladore) drafted legislation that would further Farm to School efforts across Wisconsin. Look for an action alert soon so you can help make sure this important legislation passes
Good News! Farm to School Initiative just passed both the Assembly and the Senate and is ready to go before the govenor to be signed into law!
